Side-out or rally scoring, your call
Pickleball is one sport with two scoring systems, and this pickleball scorekeeper supports both: rally or side-out scoring. Play traditional side-out scoring, where only the serving team can score and losing the rally hands the serve over, or switch to rally scoring, where every rally puts a point on the board. Choose per match, and either way you just tap the side that won the rally. The pickleball scoreboard decides whether that means a point, a side-out, or both teams holding their breath at game point.

- Games to 11, win by 2 by default, with both the target and the win-by margin configurable.
- Best of 3 games to take the match.
- Singles or doubles, same one tap either way.
- Undo is always one tap away, because kitchen debates should not corrupt the score.

Pickleball scoring questions
Does the pickleball score tracker support side-out scoring?
Yes. Traditional side-out scoring, where only the serving team can score, is fully supported. The app tracks who is serving and only awards points to the serving side, exactly as the rules say.
Can I use rally scoring in pickleball?
Yes. Choose rally scoring per match and every rally scores a point, whichever side served. It keeps casual games moving and both systems live side by side in the app.
Can I change the points needed to win a game?
Yes. Games run to 11, win by 2, by default, and both the target points and the win-by margin are configurable, so games to 15 or 21 work just as well.
Can I keep the pickleball score from my Apple Watch?
Yes. The watch app scores pickleball with full parity, so your phone can stay off the court. It can also record the match as a workout with heart rate and calories in Apple Health.
