Gaelic Games Score Tracker

2-14 to 1-17. Who is ahead? The app knows.

Tap the team, then Point or Goal. Sport Score Tracker keeps a Gaelic football, hurling or camogie score the way it is written, in goals and points, and works out the total and the margin for you. On iPhone and Apple Watch, fully offline.

Goals and points, written the way you say them

A Gaelic games score is two numbers, goals and points, and a goal is worth three points. That is why a generic scoreboard is no use on the sideline: it shows 20 when everyone at the pitch says 2-14. This scorer shows both. Each side reads 2-14 with the total of 20 beside it, and the status line gives the margin in points, so when it is 2-14 to 1-17 nobody has to do the sum to know the sides are level.

Point, goal, and the two pointer

Tap the team that scored and pick the score: Point first, because most scores are points, then Goal. Choose Gaelic football and the menu adds the two point score from outside the arc, which you can switch off for competitions that do not play it. Choose Hurling / Camogie and it is points and goals only. A wrong entry comes off with one tap of undo, and both the goals and the points figure roll back correctly.

Two halves, a draw or extra time

Tap Next half at the break and End match at the final whistle. A level game is recorded as a draw, as in the league. For championship days, turn on Extra time when level and a tied match goes to extra time as two halves; the result is decided after both.

For the sideline, the club group chat and the record

It needs no signal, which matters at most club grounds. Score from your Apple Watch with the same menu, let people at home follow the live score over FaceTime SharePlay, and put a scoreboard on the clubhouse TV with AirPlay. Every match is saved with the goals, points and two pointers for each side and the score by half.

Gaelic games scoring questions

How is the score shown?

In goals and points, the way it is written and called: 2-14 means two goals and fourteen points. The total, 20 in that case, is shown beside it, and the app uses the total to work out who leads and by how much.

Does it work for hurling and camogie as well as football?

Yes. Pick Gaelic football or Hurling / Camogie when you set up the match. Ladies football uses the football setting.

Does it support the two point score in Gaelic football?

Yes. With Gaelic football selected, the score menu offers a two point score as well as a point and a goal. Turn the setting off for competitions that do not use the arc.

What happens when a match finishes level?

It is recorded as a draw by default. Turn on Extra time when level and a tied match goes to extra time, played as two halves.

Does it count wides or run the clock?

No. The app records scores and halves only, so wides, cards and the clock stay with whoever is keeping them.

Is the Gaelic games score tracker free?

The app is free to download, with no ads and no account, and it works fully offline. Tracking a match is part of Pro, a monthly subscription or a one time lifetime purchase, and Pro covers Gaelic games and all 23 sports.
