Real tennis scoring, point by point

Tennis has the strangest scoreboard in sport, and this tennis scorekeeper speaks it fluently, keeping tennis score point by point. Points climb 0, 15, 30, 40; games make sets; sets make the match. At deuce you choose how the game is decided per match: traditional advantage scoring, or no-ad where the next point takes the game. Sets run to 6 games with a two game cushion, and at 6-6 the app rolls straight into a tiebreak to 7, win by 2, so nobody has to stop and argue about the format.

Deciders and match formats, your way

  • Best of 3 sets by default, the way most matches are actually played.
  • Final set, your choice: a normal set, or a 10 point super tiebreak when court time is tight.
  • Singles or doubles, same one tap scoring either way.
  • Undo is always one tap away. A mis-tap between points should never cost you the next rally.

Serve tracked, even in tiebreaks

The serve alternates each game and the serving side is always highlighted, on the phone, on the watch and on a TV if you AirPlay the read-only scoreboard. Inside a tiebreak the app follows the real pattern, one serve point then two at a time, with ends changing every six points. You play; it remembers.

Tennis scoring questions

Does the tennis score tracker support no-ad scoring?

Yes. Pick traditional advantage scoring or no-ad per match. With no-ad, the deuce point decides the game; with advantage, the app tracks deuce and ad until someone wins by two. Either way, 0, 15, 30 and 40 are handled automatically.

How does the app handle tiebreaks and super tiebreaks?

At 6-6 the app moves into a tiebreak to 7, win by 2, and follows the real serve pattern: one point first, then every two, with ends changing every six points. For the decider you can play a normal final set or a 10 point super tiebreak.

Can I score both singles and doubles?

Yes. Set up a match as singles or doubles. Scoring works the same either way: tap the side that won the point and the app does the rest, with the serving side always highlighted.

Can I keep the tennis score from my Apple Watch?

Yes. The watch app scores tennis with full parity, so your phone can stay in your bag. It can also record the match as a workout with heart rate and calories in Apple Health.

Is the tennis score tracker free?

Yes. Scoring tennis, and all 18 sports, is free with no ads and works fully offline. A Pro subscription adds unlimited history, Insights and deep stats.
