The centre pass, tracked for you

Ask anyone who has done scoring duty on a Saturday morning: the goals are easy, the centre pass is what goes wrong. It alternates after every goal no matter who scored, so one missed tick and the whole sheet is out. This netball scorer marks the team with the next centre pass on screen and flips it after every goal and at every change of quarter. If the umpire rules differently, or a quarter ends before a pass is taken, one tap on Swap centre pass puts it right, and like every other tap it can be undone.

One tap per goal, quarters or halves

Games run to 40 or more goals a side, so nothing sits between the goal and the tap: touch the team that scored and carry on watching. Play four quarters as standard or switch to two halves for juniors and social leagues, choose who takes the first centre pass before you start, and tap Next quarter at each break. A level score is a draw unless you turn on extra time, which is played as a pair of halves.

Super Shot when your competition plays it

Playing a competition with the two point shot? Turn on Super Shot and a tap offers Goal or Super Shot, worth one or two. Either way the centre pass flips exactly once per score. The app does not run the clock, so it is up to the scorer to use it only while the Super Shot period is on. Leave the setting off and scoring stays a single tap.

For scoring duty, umpires and coaches

It works with no signal and no account, courtside at any club. Umpires can score from an Apple Watch and see the centre pass on their wrist; parents can follow the live score on their own phones nearby or over FaceTime SharePlay. Afterwards the match keeps its score by quarter and each team's centre pass conversion: how often they scored from their own pass, and how often they scored against it.

How does the app track the centre pass?

You choose who has the first centre pass. After that the marker moves to the other team after every goal and at each change of quarter or half, which is how the centre pass alternates in netball. The team with the next pass is always shown on screen and on Apple Watch.

What if the centre pass shown is wrong?

Tap Swap centre pass. It covers the uncommon case where a quarter ends before a due centre pass is taken, and any mistake at the table. A swap can be undone like any other tap.

Does it support the Super Shot?

Yes, as a setting. With Super Shot on, tapping a team offers a goal worth one or a Super Shot worth two. The app does not run the match clock, so the scorer decides when the Super Shot period applies.

Can I play halves instead of quarters?

Yes. Choose four quarters or two halves when you set up the match.

Does it time the quarters?

No. The app keeps the score, the period and the centre pass. Timing stays with your timekeeper or the umpire's watch.

Is the netball score tracker free?
