Darts checkouts from 61 to 100
Every score from 61 to 100 except 99 is a two-dart finish. From 71 up it is a treble, then a double, like T20, D20 for 100; from 61 to 70 the chart plays a single, then the Bull. 99 needs three darts: T20, 7, D16.
A treble, then a double
Above 60 a single cannot set up a double in the ring, because it would need to be worth more than 20. From 71 the setup dart becomes a treble, paired with the chart's favourite doubles: 71 is T13, D16, 80 is T16, D16, 90 is T18, D18 and 100 is T20, D20. Every route from 71 to 98, and 100, is one treble and one double.
100: T20, D20
100 is the highest score a treble and a double in the ring can finish: 60 + 40. Bull, Bull is the only other two-dart finish. If the treble lands in the single 20 you are on 80 with two darts left, and T16, D16 still finishes it.
Why 99 needs three darts
For a two-dart finish, the score minus the finishing double has to be something one dart can score. From 99 that is 59 before D20 or 49 before the Bull, and no dart scores either; any smaller double would need a setup worth more than 60. So 99 takes three darts: the chart plays T20, 7, D16, and T19, 10, D16 works the same way. It is the lowest score on the chart that needs all three darts.
When to go for the Bull
The Bull is worth 50 and counts as a double, so it can finish a leg. It is the right target in four places:
- 61 to 70. A single cannot leave a double in the ring, so the chart plays a single and then the Bull: 61 is 11, Bull and 70 is 20, Bull. The first dart is easy; the price is a small target to finish on. If you would rather finish in the ring, treble routes take two darts too: 62 is T10, D16, 64 is T16, D8, 68 is T12, D16 and 70 is T10, D20.
- 101, 104, 107 and 110. A treble and the Bull finish these in two darts (110 is T20, Bull), where every other route takes three. See checkouts 101 to 130.
- 161, 164, 167 and 170. The Bull is the only way out. See checkouts 131 to 170.
- 50 with one dart left. The Bull is the only one-dart finish above 40.
What a missed treble leaves
The If the first dart hits the single column shows where you are if the treble lands in the single bed. You still have two darts, and from 71 to 98 and on 100 every one of those leaves is a two-dart finish, so the checkout is still on this visit: 100 becomes 80 (T16, D16), 90 becomes 72 (T12, D18) and 81 becomes 66 (16, Bull). 99 works the same way: a single 20 leaves 79, and T13, D20 finishes it with the two darts left.
Miss with the second dart as well and you are down to one, which is the time for a setup shot. Set Darts in hand to 1 in the checkout calculator to see the best one for any score.

Routes computed by the same checkout rules the app uses.
How the app handles it
When a player is on a one-visit checkout, the app shows a Finish badge with a suggested route, and 100 is one of its examples: T20 D20. The table above comes from that same route code, including a single then the Bull for 61 to 70 (11 Bull to 20 Bull).
Questions
How do you check out 100 in darts?
Treble 20, then double 20. Bull, Bull is the only other two-dart finish.
Can you check out 99 with two darts?
No. 99 minus 40 is 59 and 99 minus 50 is 49, and no single dart scores either; a smaller double would need a setup worth more than 60. So 99 needs three darts, for example T20, 7, D16.
Why does the chart go for the Bull on 61 to 70?
It prefers a single as the setup dart, and from 61 to 70 the only double a single can leave is the Bull. Treble routes such as T10, D16 for 62 also finish in two darts, and the calculator lists them.
