Darts checkouts from 101 to 130
From 101 to 130, only 101, 104, 107 and 110 can go out in two darts, each with a treble and then the Bull. Every other score takes three darts, and every three-dart route on the chart opens with T20.
Three darts: a treble, a single and a double
The most two darts can check out is 110 (T20, then the Bull), so from 111 every finish takes three darts: two to set up and one at the double. The chart opens with T20 and then throws the single that leaves its favourite double:
- 102 to 112 (except 104, 107 and 110): T20, a single, D16. 102 is T20, 10, D16 and 112 is T20, 20, D16.
- 113 to 120: T20, a single, D20. 120 is T20, 20, D20.
- 121 to 130: T20, a single, the Bull. 121 is T20, 11, Bull and 130 is T20, 20, Bull.
130 is the highest score you can finish with a single as one of the setup darts: 60 + 20 + 50. From 131 up, both setup darts have to be trebles, doubles or bulls.
Setup shots
The first two darts of a three-dart finish are the setup: their job is to leave a double, not to score as much as possible. That is why the second dart on this chart is always a plain single. After T20, the single bed is a big target, and it still leaves D16, D20 or the Bull.
A setup shot is also the answer when no finish fits the darts you have left. With two darts on 121 there is no finish, so throw T20, 11 to leave 50 for your next visit, where 18, D16 finishes it (or the Bull). With one dart on 111, T20 leaves 51 (19, D16). Set Darts in hand in the checkout calculator to see the setup for any score.
What a missed first treble leaves
Miss the opening T20 into the single 20 and you still have two darts. For most scores in this band that is enough: 120 becomes 100 (T20, D20) and 121 becomes 101 (T17, Bull). Seven scores are the exception, because the miss leaves a score that needs three darts: 119, 122, 123, 125, 126, 128 and 129. On those, use the last two darts to set up the next visit.
The two-dart Bull finishes
101, 104, 107 and 110 each have exactly one two-dart finish: T17, T18, T19 or T20, then the Bull. The chart takes it because it saves a dart. If you would rather finish on a double in the ring, each has three-dart routes too: 101 is T20, 9, D16 and 110 is T20, 18, D16. 102, 103, 105, 106, 108 and 109 have no two-dart finish at all.

Routes computed by the same checkout rules the app uses.
How the app handles it
The app's post-match stats (Pro) include each player's highest checkout, so a 121 taken out as T20, 11, Bull is recorded there when it is the player's best finish of the match. During play, a Finish badge suggests a route whenever a player is on a one-visit checkout, from the same route code as the table above.
Questions
What is the highest two-dart checkout in darts?
110: treble 20, then the Bull. From 111 up every finish takes three darts.
How do you check out 121?
The chart plays T20, 11, Bull. If the first dart lands in the single 20 you are on 101, still a two-dart finish: T17, Bull. Other routes include T19, 14, Bull and T20, T7, D20.
What is a setup shot in darts?
A dart thrown to leave a good finish rather than to score as much as possible, usually a single that leaves a favourite double such as 32 (D16) or 40 (D20).
