The best racquetball score apps for iPhone and Apple Watch

Short answer: for a log of every session with workouts and swing tracking, TennisKeeper lists racquetball and keeps a simple score on the watch. For a plain point counter with game and rally timers, ScoreBoard & Point Counter App names racquetball among its uses. Racquetball Scorekeeper is a free, racquetball-only Watch app, though its listing says little more. None of those listings says it applies side-out scoring. Sport Score Tracker (our app) does: you tap who won each rally on iPhone or Apple Watch, and it works out whether that scored a point or passed the serve. It scores singles only, plays best of 3, and needs a Pro subscription.

We make Sport Score Tracker, so we have kept this page to what each developer says about its own app, and we say where our app falls short. A score app keeps the running score for you. Apps differ in whether they understand side-out scoring, whether they handle doubles serving, whether you can score from your wrist, and how they are paid for.

What a racquetball score app has to get right

Racquetball scoring has a few traps that catch apps out, so check these before you pick one. For the rules in full, our guide to how to keep score in racquetball walks through a whole match, and rally vs side-out scoring compares the two systems.

  • Side-out scoring. In USA Racquetball's traditional scoring, who can score? Only the serving side. A rally won by the receiving side scores no point and wins the serve instead, so an app that adds a point for every rally gets a side-out match wrong.
  • Two game targets in one match. A standard match is best of 3 games to 15, 15 and 11: the third game, the tiebreaker, is shorter.
  • Win by 1. USA Racquetball has no win-by-2 rule, so 15-14 and 11-10 are final scores.
  • Rally scoring for international play. The International Racquetball Federation (IRF) uses rally scoring: every rally scores a point, whoever served, and the rally winner serves next. The 2024 IRF World Championships were played best of 5 games to 11, win by 2.
  • Doubles serving. In doubles both partners serve before a side-out, except at the start of each game, when the first team to serve has only one server.
  • Serve order between games. Game 2 starts in the reverse serve order of game 1, and before the tiebreaker the side with the most total points in games 1 and 2 chooses to serve or receive.

Which app for which player

Best for logging sessions and workouts: TennisKeeper

An activity tracker by Christina Lau for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that covers tennis, padel, pickleball, squash, racquetball, badminton and table tennis.

  • Best at: keeping a record. You log singles, doubles, practices, lessons and cross training, and dashboards show your progress. The listing also describes swing tracking with the watch: forehands, backhands, smashes and volleys, with swing path, speed and contact point.
  • Apple Watch: you start and save a racquetball session on the watch. The developer's racquetball guide says you tap to record the score for you and your opponent, for up to 5 games, and the session syncs to Apple Health as a workout.
  • Offline: not stated on the listing. Your data syncs between your devices through iCloud.
  • Pricing model: free to download, with in-app purchases. A one-time Pro Edition adds unlimited activities, players and teams, head-to-head stats and export to a CSV file.
  • Limitation: it is a tracker first. Neither the listing nor the developer's racquetball guide says it applies side-out scoring or knows the 11-point tiebreaker, so treat its watch score as a counter you keep yourself.

Best for a simple counter with timers: ScoreBoard & Point Counter App

A scoreboard app from Courtney & Company, also called Mini Scoreboard, for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. Its listing names racquetball alongside basketball, hockey, board games and card games.

  • Best at: speed. You score with taps and swipes on the watch, reset quickly for the next game, and use built-in timers for game time and rally length.
  • Apple Watch: yes; the listing puts scoring on the watch.
  • Offline: not stated on the listing. Its privacy details say the developer does not collect data from the app.
  • Pricing model: free to download, with in-app purchases.
  • Limitation: it is built for many games, and the listing does not mention side-out scoring or serve tracking, so check how it handles a rally won by the receiving side before you rely on it.

Best for a free, racquetball-only Watch app: Racquetball Scorekeeper

A racquetball scorekeeper for Apple Watch by Austin Conlon, listed as free.

  • Best at: being free and made for racquetball, on the wrist.
  • Apple Watch: yes; it is a Watch app, and the listing asks for watchOS 6.1 and iOS 13 or later.
  • Offline and features: the listing is short. It does not describe the scoring rules, serve tracking or match format.
  • Pricing model: free.
  • Limitation: with so little on the listing, try it in a practice game before you rely on it in a match.

Best for singles with side-out or rally scoring: Sport Score Tracker

For a singles match you mostly want the score right without thinking about it, with no sign-up and no signal needed. This is where Sport Score Tracker fits: you tap the side that won each rally on iPhone or Apple Watch, and it works out whether that rally scored a point or passed the serve, then keeps track of games and the match. Of the apps on this page, it is the only one whose description says it applies side-out scoring.

The catch: singles only, best of 3 only, and you need a Pro subscription to use it.

Sport Score Tracker for racquetball, in detail

Our app, for iPhone and Apple Watch. It keeps score in racquetball and 17 other sports.

  • Best at: side-out scoring without thinking about it. You record only which side won the rally, and the app works out whether it scored a point. It works offline, needs no account and shows no ads.
  • Apple Watch: score each rally from the watch, alongside the iPhone app, which keeps the match. With Health tracking on, matches can save to Apple Health as workouts.
  • Offline: yes. Match data stays on your device.
  • Pricing model: free to download; a Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) is required to use the app. No free trial. Pro covers scoring, your full match history, Insights and detailed match stats.
  • Racquetball scoring: side-out scoring by default, or rally scoring, where every rally scores a point and the rally winner serves next. Games 1 and 2 go to 15, won by 1, so 15-14 wins a game, with a deciding game to 11 if the games are 1-1; the first side to win 2 games wins the match. You can change the points per game to 11, 15 or 21, the deciding game to 11 or 15, and the winning margin to 1 or 2 (under Advanced). The scoreboard shows each side's points in the current game and games won, and marks the serving side. Finished games are listed as a points scoreline, such as 15-12, 13-15, 11-8. You can also share the live score with nearby friends or over SharePlay, and show it on a TV with AirPlay.
  • Match stats (Pro): points won, rallies won, the longest run of points and a points grid for each game (in rally scoring, serve and return points won instead of rallies won). Without an active subscription, these show as a locked preview.
  • Limitations: singles only. It does not track doubles serving (first and second servers, hand-outs, or the one-server rule at the start of a game), and it has no cutthroat mode. Matches are best of 3, so the best-of-5 format played at the 2024 IRF World Championships (and traditionally on the pro tour) is not available, although 11-point games, win by 2 and rally scoring are. There are no single-game matches. You cannot choose which side serves first (Side A always serves the first rally), and the side that won a game serves first in the next one, rather than following the USA Racquetball order for game 2 and the tiebreaker. It does not record fault serves, out serves, hinders or technical fouls, and it has no time-outs, rest periods or match timer. It marks the serving side, not which player serves or where to serve from.

How we compared

We looked at what matters on a racquetball court: whether the app names racquetball and understands side-out scoring and the shorter tiebreaker, whether it handles doubles serving and best of 5 matches, whether you can score from an Apple Watch, whether it works without a signal, and how it is paid for. For the other apps we relied only on what each developer states on its App Store listing or its own website, read on 25 September 2026. Where a listing does not say something, we say so rather than guess. We do not rank apps by star ratings or review counts, and no app paid to be included.

Sport Score Tracker is described from its own scoring rules and pricing, checked on 25 September 2026. Listings change and prices vary by country, so check the current App Store listing before you pay.

Questions

What is the best racquetball score app for iPhone?

It depends on what you want from it. For a log of sessions, workouts and swings, TennisKeeper. For a simple point counter with timers, ScoreBoard & Point Counter App. For a free, racquetball-only Watch app, Racquetball Scorekeeper. For singles with side-out or rally scoring worked out for you on iPhone or Apple Watch, offline and with no account, Sport Score Tracker, though it plays best of 3 only and needs a Pro subscription.

Is there a racquetball score app for Apple Watch?

Yes, all four apps on this page keep score on the watch. TennisKeeper records a score for you and your opponent during a tracked session; ScoreBoard & Point Counter App is a general counter with timers; Racquetball Scorekeeper is a free, racquetball-only Watch app. Sport Score Tracker scores each rally with side-out or rally scoring, alongside the iPhone app, which keeps the match, and with Health tracking on the match can save to Apple Health as a workout.

Which racquetball app uses side-out scoring?

Sport Score Tracker uses side-out scoring by default: only the serving side scores, and a rally won by the receiving side passes the serve without a point. You can switch to rally scoring, where every rally scores. The listings of the other apps on this page do not mention side-out scoring.

Does Sport Score Tracker track doubles serving?

No. It scores singles and marks the serving side only, without first and second servers, hand-outs or the one-server rule at the start of a game. None of the other listings on this page describes doubles serving either.

Can I score an IRF best of 5 match?

Not in Sport Score Tracker, which plays best of 3 games. The 2024 IRF World Championships were played best of 5 games to 11, win by 2; the app has 11-point games, win by 2 and rally scoring, but not a best of 5 match. The TennisKeeper watch score records up to 5 games, but its guide does not say it follows IRF rules.
